House of Mirrah is an open, free and democratic platform for creators to showcase and monetize their art. Our mission is to help new and seasoned creators of art receive recognition and money for their work. This can happen only when we come together as a community and follow some guidelines. Our Community Guidelines serve as the primary rules of what is and isn’t permitted when using the website. 

We are very sure you will work together with us in keeping this Community positive, collaborative and beneficial to all. 

 

COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

We only publish, sell and encourage original works of creativity. Any infringement of another person / entity’s intellectual property rights or copyrights is strictly prohibited and conflicts with who and what we stand for as a brand. We reserve the right to remove any work, listing, or seller at any time if it breaches our Terms & Conditions . 

Copyright Law protects original works of authorship as soon as an author fixes the work in a tangible form of expression.

Trademark Law protects the use of words, phrases, taglines, symbols, designs, logos or a combination of these that identify and distinguish a source of goods.

Publicity Rights and Likeness  protect an individual’s name, image and likeness to be used for commercial purposes. 

 

PROHIBITED CONTENT

Here below is a list of content types that are not allowed to be published, listed or marketed on House of Mirrah’s website, public and private platforms. 

Nudity and Sexual content

Sexually explicit content such as showing genitalia, sexual intercourse, masturbation, BDSM, sex toys, penises, vaginas, anuses, sexualized children, nude children, animal intercourse, objectification. 

 

Violence and Hatred

Graphic depictions of violence, trivialization / glorification of violent acts, inciting hatred or violence, promotion of organizations, groups or people who have a history of violence and/or an agenda of hate, depiction of historic events that have caused distress to people such as mass crimes and genocides, homophobic and transphobic content.

 

Religion

Gods, demiGods, religious leaders, scriptures and quotes, symbols, religious texts, certain highly religious structures and prayer halls, motifs, prayer accessories, religious attires and outfits, colours used with the intent of highlighting or mocking a religion and the usage of religious flags.

 

Racism, Sexism and Casteism

Any content, behavior, material promoting hatred or intolerance towards another race, gender, sex, caste  through discrimination or antagonism directed against someone/ something based on the belief that one's own race/ gender/ caste  is superior, or a belief that a certain group is inferior. 

 

Fan Art & Recreations

Fan art of TV shows, movies, celebrities if there is no legal permission. Recreations of famous artworks are also prohibited. Example: A recreation of Starry Nights by Van Gogh will not be permitted.  

 

AI generated art

We currently do not permit AI generated artworks due to the lack of clarity on ownership, copyrights and intellectual property rights pertaining to such art. 

 

Stock Images

Usage of stock images either wholly or partially in a work is strictly prohibited.

Age Requirement

At the time of applying, the applicant should be at least 18 years old. 

 

Upload & Submission Limits

In order to help a wider number of creators showcase their creations to the world, only 5 creative works can be sold by a creator at any given point of time. If you want to add more, then you will have to pull out 1 artwork among the current 5 that are already listed. In some cases we may accept more than 5 but that is at the sole discretion of our selection team on a case to case basis.  However, the decision to accept more than 5 artworks is the sole discretion of House of Mirrah. We are not obliged to provide any reason for rejection. 

 

Information Accuracy

Provide accurate, complete and updated information at all times about yourself and your artworks. Failure to furnish accurate details, inaccuracies in information, legal cases etc. will lead to immediate termination. 

 

Bots , Fake & Multiple Accounts

While we support multiple applications from a single account, we definitely do not permit multiple identities / emails/ accounts from one person. If we identify a bot, or multiple accounts, to gain an unfair advantage over other community members, we may suspend that account and all other associated accounts immediately. We reserve the right to freeze payments and lock account access. If you believe you've identified one of these accounts, please contact us at hello@houseofmirrah.com. 

 

Harassment

Harassing includes to disturb persistently, torment, humiliate, bother continually, pester or persecute, negative behavior, unwelcome behavior, negative comments on other community members or House of Mirrah as a brand, its employees and platform.

Tag Stuffing

Tag stuffing is the act of intentionally adding irrelevant keywords (tags) to a design at the time of submission. Example: Choosing watercolour if it is an oil painting, or choosing blue if there is no blue colour in your work. 

 

Repeat Infringement

Users who are found to have multiple works that infringe on the intellectual property rights of a third party are subject to immediate termination.  

 

Social Media & Using the House of Mirrah Brand

Our logo, tagline and brand name are trademarks of Mirrah and cannot be used without express written permission. Use of our brand name in personal email addresses, social media usernames, Account usernames, etc. is not permitted.
